Talisay City volleyball player suits up for Team Manila

Shaira Jardio of Talisay City will be playing for the Team Manila girls’ volleyball team in the upcoming Palarong Pambansa, which is set to kickoff this weekend in Davao City. The Negrense libero had previously played for the Western Visayas Regional Athletics Association (WVRAA) in the past three Palarong Pambansa competitions.

“I am looking forward talaga na makalaban ang WVRAA, sana sa finals (I am really looking forward to playing the WVRAA, hopefully, in the finals,” she said. “I know that it will be weird because last year lang kakampi ko sila, then ngayon nasa kabila na ako (I know it will be weird since I played with them last year and now I’m on the other side).”

“I am ready to embrace the challenge,” the Talisay City native added. “I know that they have improved and have some new players.”
