Terrence Romeo turned up the heat earlier this week for the San Miguel Beermen in the second half of their 2019 Honda PBA Philippine Cup semifinal clash with the Phoenix Pulse Fuel Masters at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City. The Beermen cruised to a 114-91 win, taking a 3-1 lead in their best-of-seven series.
After failing to score in the first half, Romeo found his shooting touch in the third with five three-point conversions, finishing with 20 points for the Beermen. Meanwhile, teammates Alex Cabagnot scored 18 points; Arwind Santos added 16; and Chris Ross contributed 10 points, seven rebounds, and five assists.
The Beermen scored right from the get-go with Cabagnot and Santos combining for a 27-20 lead. After the Fuel Masters tied the score at 37-all, the Beermen pulled away anew with a 59-48 halftime edge.
Phoenix were still hanging around at 12 points in the third when Romeo put up triple after triple as San Miguel went on to build its largest lead on 112-82 on a triple by Paul Zamar./ASC, WDJ
