F2 Logistics Cargo Movers survived a challenge from Foton Tornadoes Blue Energy with a 25-22, 25-27, 25-21, 25-19 victory in their 2019 Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix Conference do-or-die quarterfinal last Thursday night at the San Juan Arena.

Lindsay Stalzer and Maria Jose Perez displayed their championship experience to lift the Cargo Movers back to the semifinals, where they will face the winner of quarterfinal series between Generika-Ayala Lifesavers and the PLDT Home Fibr Power Hitters. Stalzer, a two-time Most Valuable Player, unloaded 26 points, including killer blows in the crucial stretch; while Perez chipped in 21 markers.

Local players also made contributions for F2 Logistics with Victorinara Galang tallying 12 markers, Alex Cabanos registered 26 excellent sets on top of 23 digs and three service aces, and Dawn Macandili had 23 digs and nine excellent receptions.

“This team has been battle-tested since college,” said Cargo Movers head coach Ramil de Jesus. “They become more focused when coming from a loss and they know how to bounce back.”/ASC, WDJ
