Far Eastern University (FEU) moved closer to sealing a spot in the UAAP Season 81 women’s volleyball “Final 4” following their recent 25-21, 25-19, 25-22 sweep of National University (NU) at the San Juan Arena.

Heather Guino-o led the win with 11 points, all coming from spikes; while Jerrili Malabanan added 10 markers.

FEU got to a strong 12-5 start in the first set; however, NU managed to close the gap to 15-14. FEU went ahead 22-21 before scoring three straight points to close the set.

FEU then leaned on its solid blocking in the second frame for a 16-6 edge but NU rallied again to narrow their deficit to 22-19 before FEU ended the set on hits from Guino-o and Czarina Carandang.

In the final set, FEU opened strong anew and posted a 16-9 edge. NU then managed to bring the set to a 22-all tie but Guino-o and Kyle Negrito scored FEU’s final three points for a straight set win./ASC, WDJ
