Talisay City native Jessa Ordiales recently confirmed her transfer to De La Salle University (DLSU), where she will join the women’s volleyball team. She is already participating in practices with the multi-titled team.
“DLSU is my dream school so, when the opportunity to play came, I did not think twice,” she said. “I see this also as an opportunity for me to improve my volleyball skills.”
“I also hope to contribute to their winning tradition,” Ordiales added, who previously played for the National University junior team.
She was also a former standout for Living Stones International School (LSIS) in Bacolod City.
Also on the DLSU squad is another former LSIS standout Matet Espina, who is currently sidelined with an injury.
Earlier this month, another Negrense athlete joined DLSU.
Athletics champion Franz Gela Romualdo Bintad of Escalante City committed to the Metro Manila university, saying, “It is flattering to receive offers from prestigious universities from Manila.”
“I am looking forward to move there,” said the Bacolod Tay Tung High School athlete./ASC, WDJ
