Five arrested in Bacolod City anti-drug operation

Five suspected drug personalities were arrested Tuesday night, while another escaped, following a buy-bust operation at Purok Magnolia in Bacolod City’s Barangay 7.

Police identified the arrested as 29-year-old Jake Miron, 30-year-old Ian Matus, 35-year-old Arnel Valera, 22-year-old Anjun Mace Burgos, and 39-year-old and John Rey Jaming.

A sixth suspect, identified as Ramon Isidro, Jr., managed to elude police.

Police Station 2 commander, Police Captain Leo Estopa, said the operation yielded a total of 14 sachets of suspected shabu, a weighing scale, and a .38 caliber revolver.

He said the seized illicit substance weighed a total 13 grams with a market value of P153,000.

The suspects are presently facing multiple charges involving illegal drugs, illegal possession of firearms, and violation of the Commission on Elections gun ban./DGB, WDJ
