Two early morning earthquakes were recorded in Negros Oriental yesterday.
Around 2:43 a.m. a 2.6-magnitude quake struck west of Valencia and, just under a half hour later, Basay was shook by a 2.3-magnitude earthquake are 3:11 a.m.
According to subsequent Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology bulletins, no damages were reported nor were there aftershocks expected.
