The F2 Logistics Cargo Movers ended the 2019 Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix Conference elimination round with a 25-19, 25-20, 26-24 win over the Cignal HD Spikers last Thursday at the San Juan Arena.
Maria Jose Perez, Lindsay Stalzer, and Victorinara Galang each tallied 13 points each for the Cargo Movers.
After easily taking the first two sets, the Cargo Movers encountered trouble late in the third as Ana Artemeva scored a service ace , which put Cignal at set point, 24-23.
The Cargo Movers, however, did not allow the match to be dragged into a fourth set with Perez nailing back-to-back spikes for a 25-24 lead before Galang delivered the game-winning ace.
They next face Foton Tornadoes Blue Energy in the quarterfinals, who are coming off a 25-20, 20-25, 25-22, 25-11 win over the Generika-Ayala Lifesavers./ASC, WDJ
