The enemies of Jim Paredes have thrown the kitchen sink at him but none has ever suggested he could be suffering from serious mental illness. Instead of denouncing him, they should have at least suggested immediate medical attention. However, there is nothing wrong with masturbation as long as it is done privately and poses no harm or inconvenience to anyone. Paredes should not be guillotined for practicing a biological obligation.
As everyone who has read the Bible (or learned from history) knows, Onanism is synonymous with the “withdrawal method” of birth control. Given a broad definition, onanism encompasses withdrawal (coitus interruptus), masturbation, and any other “improper emission of seed.”
The worry comes because Paredes recorded the act.
Those who expose themselves in public are considered “sex maniacs” and are suffering from mental health issues; only an individual with deep psychological problems could perform such a horrendous act in broad daylight.
When most of these “exhibitionists” are caught and arrested, they normally can’t explain themselves.
Police and ordinary people who inflict physical violence on these individuals don’t believe these “perverts” when they insist they “don’t know” or “can’t remember” having masturbated in public. Only some doctors will believe them and would recommend rehabilitation – not imprisonment.
Such abnormal sexual behavior should not be taken for granted as the patient, or the person committing act, is already close to committing a heinous crime like rape – even murder.
Could Paredes, who already fessed up to recording the video, be suffering from a certain level of neurosis?
If he is being badgered by health issues, he should be rapped on the knuckles for bawdy habits and indiscretions but even Onan’s sin has been historically skewed and his sin was not masturbation. Onan’s sin was his greedy and selfish refusal to sire a son on behalf of his brother, which does not even apply to modern culture.
Onan was of the tribe of Judah, the kingly tribe and the tribe of the Messiah, which is why one should never ridicule or cast aspersions at Paredes or anyone caught in “flagrante delicto” while masturbating – but, please, no advertisement./WDJ
