A total of 138 University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R) students were recently issued tertiary education subsidies, a program by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
A memorandum of agreement was signed by the school last week.
The subsidy, a result of RA 10931, or the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act, will fund tuition costs, school fees, books, transportation costs, miscellaneous personal expenses, an allowance for room and board, and the costs for review programs.
UNO-R president, Rev. Fr. Don H. Besana, advised beneficiaries to be thankful to God and the government./WDJ
