Operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology in Negros Occidental conducted a “surprise” greyhound operation at the Victorias City Jail earlier this week.

The operation was part of a region-wide cleansing of jail facilities, according to PDEA.

During the operation, the jail’s inmates were gathered outside while operatives and their K-9 units searched the cells for illegal drugs and other contrabands.

No illegal drugs were found, PDEA said./DGB, WDJ
