Vallacar Transit Inc.’s (VTI) spokesperson said that the company’s investigating team will determine the liability of the driver in the bus accident that resulted to the death of four passengers and injury of eight others in the town of Don Salvador Benedicto, last Monday.
Jade Seballos, VTI Media and Public Relations Manager, said the driver, Jescer Rasonable, will be released from the hospital soon.
She added that Rasonable also suffered injuries but he has already recovered enough that he could be discharged.
Seballos said Rasonable will be investigated to determine the extent of his liability.
She added that the driver who has no accident record and has been driving for the company was already subjected to drug test which turned out negative.
Rasonable could either be suspended or terminated depending on the outcome of the investigation.
Seballos also said that the company has already extended financial assistance to the victims and their respective families.
Meanwhile, as far as the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board is concerned, Seballos said they are still waiting what action it will take against the company.
