The campaign period for local candidates in the May 13, 2019 midterm elections begins today.
In line with this, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) reminded all candidates to remove all prohibited forms of election propaganda.
The Comelec warned that any candidate who fails to abide by the order shall be presumed to have committed an election offense.
Among the prohibited forms of election propaganda include those that are posted outside of common poster areas, in public places, or in private properties without the consent of the owner.
Local candidates include those running for congressmen, governor, vice governor, Provincial Board member, mayor, vice mayor, and town or city councilor./DGB, WDJ
