A teenager was hospitalized late Monday night after he was stabbed inside a basketball court in Barangay 1, Ilog town in Negros Occidental.

Police identified the victim as Jomarie Mainit, a resident of Barangay Vista Alegre in the said town.

Ilog town police said Mainit was dancing inside the court, when an unidentified person stabbed him on the right side of his body.

Mainit was immediately rushed to the Lorenzo D. Zayco District Hospital in Kabankalan City for treatment.
