A man believed to be suffering from depression claimed his own life last Wednesday by hanging himself in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City.

Police have requested not to identify the 26-year-old victim, but confirmed he is resident of the said area.

Based on the statement given by the victim’s wife to police, prior to the incident, the victim had gone on a two-day drinking spree and the two were engaged in a heated argument late Tuesday night.

The victim later stormed out of the house and went to an undisclosed direction.

The next day, around 6:30 a.m. the wife discovered the victim’s remains hanging lifeless and she immediately notified police.

Cops recovered the electrical wire used by the victim to hang himself inside a pig pen./DGB, WDJ
