Sagay City’s third most wanted drug personality was killed after he was gunned down yesterday morning by riding-in-tandem suspects at the Fortune Ville Subdivision, located in the city’s Barangay Rizal.

Police identified the fatality as 43-year-old Stephen Emnace, a resident of the said community.

Sagay City police chief, Police Major Antonio Benitez, Jr., confirmed Emnace was on the city’s drugs watchlist.

Initial investigations carried out by police reported Emnace was closing the gate to his home, when a motorcycle stopped. The backrider then dismounted, approached the victim, and opened fire with a .45 caliber firearm. The gunman then returned to the waiting motorcycle and fled.

Emnace was killed on the spot after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds.

Police are presently looking at Emnace’s drug links as the motive behind the crime, adding, a rival drug group may have suspected the victim of providing information that led to the recent arrest of another drug personality in the city./DGB, WDJ
