At least P110,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized yesterday morning following a buy-bust operation in Barangay Miranda, Pontevedra, Negros Occidental.

Police identified the arrested suspect as 29-year-old Richard Tantua, a resident of MMY Village in Barangay Miranda, Hinigaran.

Pontevedra municipal police chief, Police Captain Rhojn Darell Nigos, said Tantua was listed as a high-value drug target prior to the arrest.

He noted, the suspect was arrested after he handed over one sachet of suspected shabu in exchange for P1,000.

A search of the suspected yielded two more sachets of suspected shabu with a combined weight of 10 grams.

Police also seized the suspect’s mobile phone.

Tantua faces illegal drugs charges and is detained at the Pontevedra Municipal Police Station./DGB, WDJ
