Petron Blaze Spikers remained unbeaten in the 2019 Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix Conference after defeating Foton Tornadoes Blue Energy, 25-20, 25-13, 25-21, last Tuesday night at the San Juan Arena.

Stephanie Niemer led Petron with 17 points on 11 attacks, five service aces, and a block; while Katherine Bell added 14 markers.

The Blaze Spikers had a flat opening set with the Tornadoes forcing an 18-all deadlock before Niemer and Bell spearheaded a 7-2 run, clinching a 1-0 set edge.

While Petron easily took the second set, they struggled in the third frame as they saw a seven-point edge trimmed to 22-20 before Foton committed errors, handing victory to their opponents./ASC, WDJ
