In response to reports Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) members were being required to pay for certain services, the government healthcare provider put out a press release informing the public that services such as requesting a member identification card or member data records are free.
“We encourage our members to report any incidence of fraud or similar activities to the nearest PhilHealth Office,” said acting PhilHealth-Region VI Vice President Janet Monteverde.
PhilHealth also noted, members must transact directly with personnel from the organization.
According to reports, members were charges between P200 and P500 for otherwise free services./WDJ
