According to a statement recently released by the Philippine Army 303rd Infantry Brigade (303IB), Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) Secretary Carlito Galvez, Jr., recently paid a visit in Negros Occidental, where he affirmed P480 Million worth of assistance would be provided to surrendered members of the Revolutionary Proletarian Army-Alex Boncayao Brigade and New People’s Army (NPA).

In addition, OPAPP can also design an exclusive benefit package on top of the Enhanced-Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP). E-CLIP was instituted by President Rodrigo Duterte and is specifically geared towards surrendered enemy combatants.

The OPAPP official also lauded efforts by the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, and local government units in pursuing localized peace talks, which resulted in the recent surrender of 25 NPA rebels operating in north Negros, along with the turnover of 27 high-powered firearms and other war materials.

Meanwhile, Galvez also met with 303IB commander, Colonel Benedict Arevalo./DGB, WDJ
