Bacolod City launches National Women’s Month observance

Bacolod City Councilor Cindy Rojas, who chairs the Sangguniang Panlungsod Committee on Women and Gender, led the launch of the city’s National Women’s Month observance last Thursday at the Bacolod City Government Center.

Throughout March, various events will be held in observance of National Women’s Month including first aid training; self-defense training; medical and dental mission; a seminar-forum on RA 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004; Zumba; and training on the “Kasambahay Law.”

Joining the city official were Bacolod City First Lady Elsa Leonardia, along with City Councilors Em Ang and Ana Marie Palermo.
