Negros Occidental hurdler qualifies for SEA Games

After recently earning a silver medal in the girls’ 400-meter hurdles during the 2019 Ayala Philippine Athletics Championships earlier this week at the City of Ilagan Sports Complex in Ilagan, Isabela, Bacolod City native Bernalyn Bejoy, who competed with Team Negros Occidental, officially qualified for the 2019 Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games).

“This is a great achievement for Bernalyn,” said Team Negros Occidental head coach Addy Arca. “All of her hard work and perseverance [has] paid off.”

In addition to her silver, she also picked up a gold medal in the girls’ 400-meter dash.

Bacolod City native Bernalyn Bejoy, who recently won a silver medal in the girls’ 400-meter hurdles during the 2019 Ayala Philippine Athletics Championships, officially qualified for the 2019 SEA Games.
