Marañon distributes over P5M for various projects

Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. recently turned over checks totaling P5.2 million to barangays in Valladolid, Murcia, La Castellana, and Silay City for various projects.
P4 Million went to several Valladolid barangays intended for concreting projects, construction of a drainage canal and session hall, and the acquisition of a multipurpose vehicle.
In term of other projects, the allocation will also fund the development of a water system and road repair project in Murcia, purchase of a utility vehicle for La Castellana, and rehabilitation and construction of “footwalks” in Silay City.
Last week, the governor turned over P1,310,000 to various Negros Occidental-based agri-fishery organizations during a ceremony at the Provincial Capitol.
Recipients included associations from Candoni, La Castellana, Toboso, Escalante City, Bago City, and Hinigaran./WDJ
