Iloilo City Civil Registry Office Registration Officer II Marivel Gargalicana recently won the Western Visayas Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Regional Civil Registration Quiz Bee in Iloilo City.

She competed against 11 other representatives of local government units from across the region.

“I did a little review and memorization of laws, specifically dates, persons, and everything related to civil registration,” Gargalicana explained. “My job also helped me to review since my co-workers were asking things related to birth registration.”

The registration officer has been a city employee since February 2013./WDJ
