President Rodrigo Duterte is expected to visit Negros Occidental today, where he is scheduled to begin with a distribution of certificate of land ownership awards in Sagay City and proceed to a PDP-Laban rally in Victorias City that afternoon.
According to Presidential Communications Office Media Relations Officer Rubyjane Villaverde, the timeframe for events is incumbent on when the president arrives.
She noted, the president will be traveling via helicopter from Sagay City to Victorias City, where they are expecting around 26,000 to attend, mostly comprised of local public officials.
In addition, senatorial bets expected to join the Victorias City rally include incumbent Senators Cynthia Villar and JV Ejercito Estrada, along with former Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence ‘Bong’ Go.
This is Duterte’s first official visit to the province this year./DGB, WDJ
