A construction worker was injured yesterday after a portion of a wall along Aguinaldo Street in Bacolod City collapsed.

Authorities identified the victim as Kirby Causing, a worker for ESJ and Sons Construction.

Based on information provided to members of the media, the worker was dismantling a fire wall when it collapsed.

Workers and bystanders immediately came to the victim’s aid by removing debris, while others contacted emergency personnel.

The victim was immediately rushed to a hospital following the incident.

Meanwhile, the collapse also damaged a house owned by Melinda Francisco, who managed to escaped unharmed.

Authorities are presently investigating the incident./DGB, WDJ
