Department of Social Welfare and Development social workers recently conducted a psychosocial debriefing in Barangay Lanag, located in Santa Barbara, Iloilo, after Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries lost four family members in a vehicular accident.

Social welfare officers Maribel Gabayoyo and Maricel Robles visited with Leonora and Elpidio Surmieda, who lost three members of their immediate family, along with their eldest daughter’s live-in partner. The four were killed after the tricycle they were riding was struck by an SUV.

The agency is currently working on providing burial assistance./WDJ
