The Negrense Dialysis Group (NDG) yesterday called on senatorial candidate, former Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence ‘Bong’ Go, to encourage the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), to increase coverage for kidney patients undergoing hemodialysis in Bacolod City.
Since launching his candidacy for senate, Go left his position with the President Rodrigo Duterte administration and no longer bears any official capacity as a government official.
According to a letter by NDG President Gregorio Gustilo, Jr., the number of dialysis patients has increased, pointing out, “Dialysis sessions could reach up to P4,000, to be paid in cash, should their PhilHealth assistance of 90 sessions per year and the P20,000 assistance, provided by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office per quarter, are fully consumed.”
“We are appealing to you because our family budget and ‘way of living’ are greatly affected, especially the future and education of our children,” he stressed./DGB, WDJ
