NOPSSCEA volleyball team goes 2-0

The Negros Occidental Private School Sports, Cultural and Educational Association (NOPSSCEA) secondary girls’ volleyball team opened their Western Visayas Private Schools Athletic Association (WVPRISAA) title defense with a 2-0 record over the weekend.

After their 25-15, 25-15 win over Aklan at the University of St. La Salle gym on Saturday; the Negrense squad defeated the Iloilo Private Schools Athletic Association (ILOPRISAA) at the STI-WNU gym yesterday.

“We opted to try other combinations and we are glad that it worked for us,” said NOPSSCEA assistant coach Roberto Calamba, Jr.

Meanwhile, in boys’ volleyball, NOPSSCEA opened with a 25-20, 25-19 over Capiz; however, in football, ILOPRISAA beat NOPSSCEA, 2-1./ASC, WDJ
