Sagay City beats Pontevedra for futsal title

Sagay City recently won the U-15 futsal event in the 2019 Batang Pinoy Visayas qualifying leg by defeating Pontevedra, 7-6, at the West Visayas State University gym. The eventual champions had previously finished second to their opponents in the group elimination round.

Cebu came in third after defeating Iloilo City, 11-4, in the consolation match.

In other futsal events, San Carlos City defeated Cebu, 2-1, to capture the girls’ U-15 competition; while Negros Occidental won the boys’ U-13 title./ASC, WDJ
