Over P1.3M turned over to local farmers, fisherfolk

Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. recently turned over P1,310,000 to various Negros Occidental-based agri-fishery organizations during a ceremony at the Provincial Capitol in Bacolod City.

Recipients included associations from Candoni, La Castellana, Toboso, Escalante City, Bago City, and Hinigaran.

Among the undertakings the allocation is expected to fund include projects intended to develop various goods including corn, rice, dried fish, among other items.

Checks were personally received by officers and authorized representatives of their respective organizations./WDJ
