The Technical Institute of Iloilo City (TIIC), located in Iloilo City’s Molo district, announced they would be offering free skills training for eligible students interested in certain national certificate (NC) courses, among them include Carpentry NC II, Masonry NC II, and Construction Painting NC II.
The program is open to city residents who are senior high school graduates, college undergraduates, or alternative learning system graduates; between the ages of 18 and 45; and those who have not previously enrolled in the said courses.
A total of 50 scholars will be selected, who will each be provided with a P5,000 book allowance for each course and P160 daily training allowance for each course.
Preliminary trainings will commence once a memorandum of agreement is signed between the Iloilo City government and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.
Meanwhile, the TIIC campus in Barangay Barrio Obrero, located in Iloilo City’s Lapuz district, will begin accepting applications for various skills training programs next month, from March 4 to 29.
The school offers free courses in Beauty Care NC II, Cookery NC II, Computer Systems Servicing NC II, Consumer Electronics Servicing NC II, Food and Beverages Services NC II, Dressmaking NC II, and Computer Literacy./WDJ
