Several new Negros Occidental High School (NOHS) buildings will host classes for incoming senior high school students beginning this coming school year, which is expected to begin in June.
NOHS Principal Mario Amaca said the new buildings are part of RA 10533, or an act enhancing the Philippine basic education system.
He explained, some of the buildings would be used as laboratories for automotive works, home economics, and cookery classes.
Once completed, there will be eight new buildings, one of which is expected to be completed before the upcoming 2019/2020 academic year and costs an estimated P16 million.
Amaca added, all buildings should be completed by 2020.
Meanwhile, NOHS also inaugurated a road concreting project courtesy of NOHS Batch 1985 and set to be constructed by Silver Dragon Construction.
Amaca said the 400-square meter road project costs around P300,000./DGB, WDJ
