Human milk bank equipment turned over to Silay City hospital

A deed of donation was signed yesterday between Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. and Rotary International District 3850, which turned over human milk bank equipment to the Teresita L. Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City.

A human milk bank is used to collect, screen, process, store, and distribute donated human milk.

The donated equipment will aid in dispensing pasteurized human milk to low income patients, victims of calamity, and other beneficiaries.

Also present for the occasion were Rotary officers and members Joe Jay Doctora, Renato Monfort, Jr., Joel Jaranilla, Jay Alpas, Millie Lee, Emmanuel Salgado, and Raymund Macapitan; Hospital Operations Department head, Dr. Leo Eusebio; and Nona Quimar./WDJ
