With members of opposition senatorial lineup ‘Otso Diretso’ in Bacolod City yesterday, a manifesto pledging support for their agenda was signed by volunteers for Otso Diretso-Negros Occidental.
According to the manifesto, the group’s agenda includes the reestablishment of the Negros Island Region, a pro-agro-fisheries platform, further study of the Tax Reform Acceleration and Inclusion Law, opposition to “anti-church” and foul language, women’s rights, respect for press freedom and free speech, among other items.
The policy further states, “These challenges call for a determined and studied legislative agenda.”/DGB, WDJ
