Following the recent resignation of Iloilo Dinagyang Foundation Inc. (IDFI) Vice President Marissa Segovia, Iloilo Business Club Executive Director Lea Lara called the development “crippling” for foundation operations.

She noted, if there is no vice president elected and IDFI President Ramon Cua-Locsin is away, the foundation will not be able to complete any transactions.

The business club functions as the marketing arm for IDFI.

Segovia tendered her resignation after reportedly being subject to a “humiliating outburst” from Iloilo City lone district Rep. Jerry Treñas, who supposedly did not receive an invitation to this year’s Iloilo Dinagyang Festival, which took place last month.

IDFI accepted her resignation with reluctance./WDJ
