A house was heavily damaged Thursday night following a fire at Block 19, Purok Magbinuligay in Bacolod City’s Barangay Bata.

Bacolod City Bureau of Fire Protection arson investigator, Fire Officer 1 Ronel Ivan Labansauan, said they received a fire call around 6:43 p.m. for a home owned by Catalino Española.

Firefighters immediately raced to the scene and managed to quell the blaze within 30 minutes.

Initial investigations found the blaze started in the kitchen.

Damage was estimated at P30,000 with three occupants, identified as Juaren Responde, Rose Marie Responde, and Angelina Responde, reporting injuries.

Labansauan added, they are still determining the cause of the blaze./DGB, WDJ
