The National Housing Authority (NHA) recently turned over ‘Yolanda’ housing units in Silay City’s Barangay E. Lopez.
Housing units were turned over to the first 300 beneficiaries, primarily comprised of informal settlers, senior citizens, and members of the disabled community.
NHA-Bacolod manager, Engr. Alejandro Ongsuco, who led the turnover ceremony, congratulated the recipients.
In addition, Silay City Mayor Mark Golez urged beneficiaries to form a homeowners’ association.
Also present for the ceremony included Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor Commissioner for Visayas Romeo Jandugan; Central Negros Electric Cooperative Inc.
