Several armed men burglarized the Northern Negros Electric Cooperative Inc. (Noneco) recently in Barangay Tortosa, Manapla, Negros Occidental.

Manapla municipal police chief, Police Senior Inspector Julius Colado, said the four security guards on duty were overpowered and disarmed by at least six bonnet-clad suspects.

The police official said some of the suspects were reportedly armed with shotguns.

After securing the guards, the suspects proceeded to ransack the offices and vaults before fleeing towards Victorias City.

The suspects carted away with at least P320,000 worth of cash.

Investigators are currently considering the situation an inside job as the suspects seemed familiar with the compound’s layout./DGB, WDJ
