Agreement signed to provide vocational school scholarships

Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr., representatives from Dualtech Training Center Foundation Inc., along with the Buglas Foundation Inc. yesterday signed a memorandum of agreement for Negrense students enrolled in technical vocational programs.

The scholarship seeks to produce high quality electro-mechanical technicians.

Eligible recipients will be enrolled in a dual training system with the Dualtech Training Center, which is located in Calamba, Laguna.

The first batch will be comprised of 20 scholars who must pass an exam and interview.

Also present for the signing were Department of Education Schools Division Superintendent for Negros Occidental, Dr. Portia Mallorca; Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator, Dr. Ma. Lina Sanogal; among others./WDJ
