The Department of Budget and Management recently approved the construction of a P16.5 million pathway in Iloilo City.
“This pathway will improve the connectivity among government offices included in the civic center and shorten the time travel from one to another,” explained Assistant Iloilo City Planning and Development officer, Arch. Dolly Ann Zoluaga. “At the same time, it will be easy for clients to transact business in the central business district walking through the Espalande.”
“People will also feel secure,” she added.
The pathway is expected to connect Plaza Libertad, City Hall, the Department of Trade and Industry, Bureau of Fire and Protection, and Iloilo City Grandstand.
Zoluaga said the passageway will be covered and chairs will be set up.
She added, construction will commence following a bidding process./WDJ
