Female Negrenses begin volleyball title defense

The Negros Occidental secondary girls’ volleyball team began their title defense yesterday in the 2019 Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association (WVRAA) meet, which is currently taking place in Roxas City, Capiz.  They opened their campaign on an optimistic note with a 25-12, 25-16 win over Guimaras.
“It’s a total team effort for us,” said Negros girls’ volleyball team manager Jose Montalbo. “[Kiesha Bedonia] was outstanding.”
They later went on to improve their record to 2-0 with a 25-10, 25-10 win over Antique.
However, on the boys’ side, the secondary Negrense team lost in three sets to Antique.
Meanwhile, in other sports, the Negros Occidental secondary boys’ 3×3 basketball team beat Capiz, 21-19; while the secondary boys’ football team began their title defense with a 5-1 victory over Capiz./ASC, WDJ
Kiesha Bedonia led the Negros Occidental secondary girls’ volleyball team to a 2-0 start in the ongoing 2019 WVRAA meet, which is currently taking place in Roxas City, Capiz.
