A man allegedly hacked his younger brother to death in Tanjay City, Negros Oriental last week after they ran out of food.
Police identified the fatality as Genero Isona, a resident of the said city.
Investigations carried out by Tanjay City police said the victim’s elder brother Roldan came home drunk and hungry. After learning that there was no food in their home, the suspect immediately assaulted his younger brother, resulting in the latter’s death.
Police later arrested the assailant.
The victim’s father plans to file criminal charges against the older brother, who is now detained at the Tanjay City Police Station on homicide charges./DGB, WDJ
