A motorcyclist died after recently colliding with a truck at Hacienda Elena in Barangay Ayungon, La Carlota City, Negros Occidental.

Police identified the fatality as 25-year-old Jerry Salgon, a resident of General Malvar, Pontevedra.

La Carlota City Police Station traffic investigators said Salgon was heading north on his motorcycle when he overshot the opposite side of the road and slammed in to an oncoming truck driven by 49-year-old Manuel Cordero.

Salgon was rushed to the city’s district hospital for treatment but was declared dead on arrival by hospital staff.

Cordero, meanwhile, surrendered to La Carlota City police following the incident./DGB, WDJ
