Various members of the Iloilo City business community have been invited to the Quanzhou Maritime Silk Road International Brand Expo, which will take place in Fujian, China from April 18 to 21.

“The expo is a platform by businessmen in Iloilo City to have their products sold in China,” explained Iloilo City Mayor Jose Espinosa III. “This partnership is only the start of everything and we do hope that this will last for a long time.”

Local Economic and Investment Promotions Office (LEIPO) head Ritchel Gavan said the event will help boost Iloilo City’s global status.

“China will be able to see our products, especially that we are positioning Iloilo as a global city,” the LEIPO official said.

“This is really a good opportunity for our local businessmen,” added Iloilo Business Club Executive Director Lea Lara

The expo is expected to attract delegates from over 30 countries./WDJ
