Nominations for the Outstanding Women of Iloilo City are due today.

The program, which is being conducted in line with National Women’s Month, an observance celebrated throughout March, recognizes exceptional women in 15 categories including judicial services; culture and arts; persons with disability; math, science and technology; protective services; business; religious services; media; professional services; government services; academe; philanthropic works; volunteerism and community services; sports; and medical services.

Eligible candidates include any woman who has made a major impact or contribution to Iloilo City, and brought pride and honor to the city. They must also be a member or officer of an organization or a person who has made significant accomplishments in a particular field that has positively contributed to the status of women.

The awarding ceremony will take place at Robinsons Place Iloilo on March 22./WDJ
