After being sidelined for a year with an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury, Bacolodnon Kassandra Kim Gequillana is returning to the Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) squad to compete in the 81st UAAP women’s volleyball season, which starts this weekend at the San Juan Arena.

“It’s like a fresh start,” Gequillana said. “I want to come back stronger [and] this is my last [season], so it’s more intense.”

The former St. John Institute standout added, she is ready to accept her new role on the team.

“I’ll be playing as a libero,” the Bacolod City native said.
