The Bacolod City Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) ratified two separate contracts worth more than P236.9 million between the Bacolod City government and waste management contractor IPM-Construction and Development Corporation (IPM-CDC) for environmental and sanitary services.

The first contract, which was ratified towards the end of last month, was worth P165 million and funded the collection, hauling, and disposal of garbage and solid waste management, covering the period from March 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019.

An additional P71,984,261.34 contract was also approved for the management and operation of the sanitary landfill in Barangay Felisa.

IPM-CDC has been the contractor for the city’s environmental and sanitary services since Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia took office in June 2016./DGB, WDJ
