Isabela Mayor Joselito Malabor yesterday said everything is set for the 2nd Ati-Bukidnon Tumandok Festival, which is scheduled to run from April 21 to 27.

The mayor said this year’s celebration will be highlighted with sports events, such as the Super League Table Tennis national tournament, along with basketball and volleyball games.

He added, there will also be a street dancing arena competition, which is intended to highlight the indigenous people’s tribal dance.

Malabor said the festival is held as recognition for local indigenous communities, which comprises 30 percent of the town’s population.

He noted, so far, there are eight indigenous communities in the town with four more being organized.

Meanwhile, Malabor said the municipal government is also preparing for next month’s Holy Week celebration and the Panaad sa Negros Festival, which is also in April./DGB, WDJ
