Swedish business development firm Xeric AB recently offered to conduct a free pre-feasibility study for the planned landfill gas recovery plant in Dumaguete City.
Representatives from the firm, including Xeric CEO Ulf Malmerberg, met with Dumaguete City Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo explained such a pre-feasibility study would involve evaluating landfills on their ability to recover methane.
A landfill gas recovery plant takes methane gas, which is often emitted from decomposing garbage, and reuses it to generate energy.
